As you all know already, Sony Ericsson finally managed to roll-out its long-waited update to its x10 family devices (Xperia X10, Xperia X10 Mini, Xperia X10 Mini Pro) and it started to roll-out in Nordic countries (Such as Sweden, Denmark, Finland etc...). In this post I'm going to share with you the first impression I've ever gotten from 2.1 update which is the HD video shooting at 720p. Of course, the video is not something big as you've expected, but as soon as I've updated my phone, first thing I did was to shoot this video with my hands shaking to share my happiness with you all. Please watch it and comment/ask your questions, and I will do my best to provide the answers...

ReplyDeleteFirst thing you have to do is to root your phone. It's a one click job. (I will send you the app, if you give me your email.)
But please, keep in mind that I'm not responsible for any damages.
Secondly, flash your x10 with nordit flash tool. Instructions here, then the update must become available. Before that, please, make sure you backup your contacts, call logs messages etc...

John i already rooted my phone, but actually i don't know how to flash the phone and what does it mean..? i need alittle bit help form you and sorry for any inconvenience.

ReplyDeleteFlashing is somewhat necessary here, because you want the update as soon as possible, you don't want to wait until SE releases it for your region. Nordic Flashtool will make your phone's software as if you were living in nordic countries (sweden, finland etc..) So, after flashing your phone, your phone's settings will change from "GEneric" (it means general) to "Nordic" (Nordic phone). After you do that and connect it to your PC though PC companion, it will figure that you have a nordic phone but no update and will notify you that update is available. That's the whole point of flashing. so you go to http://forum.xda-developers.com/showthread.php?t=823115 and download the files, and then follow the instructions from there:
1. Download
2. Unzip
3. Run X10flash.bat (that is in downloaded folder)
4. If asked "wipe user data?" type "n" for No, or type "y" for YES. and wait until it's done (you don't need to do anything else)
